Is the quest for ‘stuff’ the motivating factor that allows adults to not care what government schools (i.e. public schools) are teaching and not teaching their kids?
Have the ungodly, evil Progressives (swamp, Establishment or whatever you want to call them) successfully programmed generations of adults to ignore politics, education and society in favor of the quest for more ‘toys’; both acquiring them and then paying for them, working two or more jobs?
Government schools can ‘teach’ whatever they want to children and as soon as they want to as long as they take them off of parents’ hands so the adults can work more so they can buy more ‘stuff’ and to pay for more storage areas in which to keep the stuff they acquire.
When I was growing up it was called “Keeping up with the Jones's”, now there is no longer that nifty tagline in which to hide the greed behind.
It seems that the educational quality for children won’t change much, or slowly, without first re-programming the adults, which is a really difficult undertaking. A lot of resistance, hatred and name-calling must be endured before any real progress will be made. I know, I hit the adults with the facts of the sad state of public education. I gave the statistics and I got lots of hatred and name-calling for my efforts.
Thankfully many parents nationwide are taking their children out of public schools and homeschooling them, making for better and more educated children, and parent. But not ever parent wants to home school or has the ability to do it and that’s where Moms for Liberty and other such organizations come into play. They are fighting, and winning, the battle to return real education to public schools and slowly get rid of the evil, godless government indoctrination of the children…the future of our nation.
FYI there are homeschooling groups in Vilas County, along with a Moms for Liberty chapter(website) and I believe the state offers school vouchers in the event you wish to take your child, and there accompanying $14K of state funding, out of public school and put them in an alternative environment.
