Classes are on hiatus during the holidays

Online classes will resume in January, 2025 with in-person classes to follow as places to hold them present themselves.

Why do this?

Many decades ago late night TV did man-on-the-street interviews where people were just ignorant of the Constitution. According to recent polls and new on-the-street interviews, this ignorance has not gotten better, in fact it is worse now. Every citizen should know about the documents upon which their nation is supposed to operate and how to hold their government representatives accountable.

NAEP has been testing U.S. history since 1994, civics since 1998, and the results have always been bleak. At its peak in 2014, the “Nations Report Card” showed a meager 18 percent of eighth graders to be “proficient” in history while 22 percent reached that threshold in civics.

Over a century's worth of constitutional illiteracy has given us the bloated federal government that now threatens to control everything in our lives. This needs to change, if not for us then for our children and grandchildren!

I also had this idea that people might actually like to know the 'whats' and 'why fors' of what the new administration is doing.
